3 gifts I gave myself when I quit being a perfectionist
When I started to reflect on what letting go of perfectionism brought to my life, I found 3 things that I’ve gained: more time, a greater comfort with vulnerability and the strength to lead. Below I'm sharing my best articles that explain the gifts I’ve exchanged perfectionism for and how you, too, can give yourself these gifts.
- I found hidden pockets of time when I let go of my perfectionism. If you’re not sold on abandoning your perfectionism but you do want more time in your day, this one’s for you!
- Why it’s important that I draw the line at ‘done not perfect’. This means being okay with my first drafts, and opening myself up to a little vulnerability.
- Perfectionism + Management ≠ Success. Think it was your tendency for perfectionism that got you promoted into management? Think again. It was your promise to lead, not to perfect.
